Text
No public utility owned by the city, whether acquired prior to
the adoption of this article or thereafter, may be sold, leased
or otherwise disposed of and no real property may be sold unless
the full terms of the sale or other disposition, together with
the price to be paid, is published in the official paper of the
city or town once a week for three (3) consecutive weeks, before
final action of the governing body. The proposition shall then
be submitted to a vote of the people for ratification or
rejection at the next general municipal election and ratified by
at least two-thirds (2/3) majority vote of electors voting upon
the question.
