Text
Before a writ of partition is issued, the person of whom
partition is demanded may appear in court in person or by
attorney and consent to a partition of the estate according to
the facts and prayer set forth in the petition. This amicable
partition, when made and recorded, is valid and binding between
the parties thereto.
