622.11 622.11(1) (1) Exempt insurers. An insurer is exempt from the requirements of this chapter, if all of the following apply: 622.11(1)(a) (a) The insurer has annual direct written premium and assumed premium from unaffiliated insurers, including international direct and assumed premium but excluding premiums reinsured with the federal crop insurance corporation and federal flood program, of less than $500,000,000. 622.11(1)(b) (b) If the insurer is a member of an insurance holding company system, the insurance holding company system of which the insurer is a member has annual direct written premium and assumed premium from unaffiliated insurers, including international direct and assumed premium but excluding premiums reinsured with the federal crop insurance corporation and federal fl
