Text

(1)Individuals wishing to circulate a referendum petition shall file a referendum application with the lieutenant governor no later than 5 p.m. on the first business day that is at least five calendar days after the day on which the legislative session at which the law passed ends.
(2)The referendum application shall include:
(2)(a) the name and residence address of at least five sponsors of the referendum petition;
(2)(b) a statement indicating that each of the sponsors is registered to vote in Utah;
(2)(c) a statement indicating whether persons gathering signatures for the referendum petition may be paid for gathering signatures;
(2)(d) the signature of each of the sponsors, attested to by a notary public; and
(2)(e) a copy of the law that is the subject of the proposed referendum.
