Text

(1)As used in this section, "clerk" means an election officer other than the lieutenant governor.
(2)A clerk shall:
(2)(a) comply with all of the following in relation to elections:
(2)(a)(i) federal and state law;
(2)(a)(ii) federal and state rules; and
(2)(a)(iii) the policies and direction of the lieutenant governor; and
(2)(b) diligently learn and become familiar with the law, rules, policies, and direction described in Subsection (2)(a).
