Sec. 546.0053. INFORMATION AND ASSISTANCE REGARDING CARE AND SUPPORT OPTIONS FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES.

(a)The executive commissioner by rule shall require each health and human services agency to provide to each patient or client of the agency and to at least one family member of the patient or client, if possible, information regarding all care and support options available to the patient or client, including community-based services appropriate to the patient's or client's needs, before the agency allows the patient or client to be placed in a care setting, including a nursing facility, an intermediate care facility for individuals with an intellectual disability, or a general residential operation for children with an intellectual disability that is licensed by the commission,
