Sec. 109.003. BOARD MEMBERS: TERMS, VACANCIES. Members of the board will hold office for staggered terms of six years, with the terms of three members expiring on January 31 of odd-numbered years. Any vacancy shall be filled for the unexpired portion of the term by appointment by the governor with the advice and consent of the senate. Transferred, redesignated and amended from Education Code, Section 109.22 by Acts 2015, 84th Leg., R.S., Ch. 1173 (S.B. 907 ), Sec. 3, eff. June 19, 2015.
