(a)As used in this section:
(1)"Honorably discharged veteran" means any person who has been honorably discharged from the army, navy, air force, marine corps, or coast guard, or any person who has been honorably discharged from a reserve component as defined in 10 U.S.C. § 10101 , having performed active federal service in the armed forces of the United States;
(2)"Licensing authority" means a state board, agency, or commission, attached to the division of regulatory boards, as listed in § 4-3-1304(a) , with the authority to impose training, education, or licensure fees to practice in an occupation regulated under this title; and (3) "Member of the armed forces" means a member of the United States armed forces or a member of a reserve or Tennessee national guard unit who is in, or was c
