Text
(a)An individual filing a new claim for unemployment compensation shall, at the time of filing the claim, disclose whether or not the individual owes an overissuance, as defined in § 13(c)(1) of the Food Stamp Act of 1977 ( 7 U.S.C. § 2022(c)(1) ), of food stamp benefits. The administrator shall notify the state food stamp agency enforcing such obligation of any individual who discloses that such individual owes food stamp overissuances and who is determined to be eligible for unemployment compensation.
(b)The administrator shall deduct and withhold from any unemployment compensation payable to the individual who owes an uncollected overissuance of food stamp benefits:
(1)The amount specified by the individual to the administrator to be deducted and withheld under this subsection (b); (
