(A)The Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders Resource Coordination Center must be supported by an advisory council appointed by the Governor including, but not limited to, representatives of:
(1)Alzheimer's Association Chapters;
(2)American Association of Retired Persons;
(3)Clemson University;
(4)Office of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities;
(5)Department of Health and Environmental Control;
(6)Office of Mental Health;
(7)Department of Social Services;
(8)Department of Health and Human Services;
(9)Medical University of South Carolina;
(10)National Association of Social Workers, South Carolina Chapter;
(11)South Carolina Adult Day Care Association;
(12)South Carolina Association of Area Agencies on Aging;
(13)South Carolina Association of Council on Aging Direct

Code Commissioner's Note At the direction of the Code Commissioner, certain references in the S.C. Code to the State Department of Mental Health, South Carolina Mental Health Commission, Department of Disabilities and Special Needs, Department of Disabilities and Special Needs Commission, Department of Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Services, and other related terms were changed to reflect the restructuring of these agencies into component offices under the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, pursuant to 2025 Act No. 3, SECTION 18. Editor's Note 2023 Act No. 62, SECTION 3, provides as follows: "SECTION 3. The statewide plan to address Alzheimer's disease and related dementias must be updated in 2028 and every five years thereafter."
