§ 39-3-180 — Penalties.

Any person, partnership, firm, association, corporation or company or any officer, representative or agent thereof violating any of the provisions of this article other than Section 39-3-150 shall forfeit not less than two hundred dollars, nor more than five thousand dollars, for every such offense and each day such person shall continue to do so shall be a separate offense, the penalties in such cases to be recovered by an action in the name of the State, at the relation of the Attorney General or the solicitor of the judicial circuit within which the offense was committed. The moneys thus collected shall go into the State Treasury, and become a part of the general fund except as otherwise provided.
