§ 45-5-10. Fees for licenses and commissions issued to officers.
Town councils and city councils are authorized to charge and collect for licenses
            and commissions issued to officers elected or appointed by them, fees that the town
            and city councils, respectively, fix by ordinance or resolution; provided, that the
            license fee for appointment of town constable with power to serve civil process in
            accordance with § 9-5-10.1 is not less than five dollars ($5.00) and not more than twenty-five dollars ($25.00).
