§ 45-46-2. Declaration of purpose.
The purpose of this chapter is to authorize the cities and towns of the state to adopt,
            in accordance with the provisions of the model local ordinance provided in this chapter,
            ordinances and programs to control erosion and sedimentation and to prevent erosion-related
            damage to the man-made and natural features of the state.
