§ 45-39.2-3. Purpose.

This chapter is intended to:

(1) Establish the Clear River electric and water district as the successor to the utility functions fulfilled prior to January 1, 2025, by the Pascoag utility district and the Harrisville fire district;

(2) Provide for the orderly separation and transfer of those utility functions and related utility assets and utility bond obligations (without impairment thereof) from the Pascoag utility district and the public water supply functions of the Harrisville fire district to the electric and water district;
