§ 45-32-6. Selection of project areas — Formulation of redevelopment plans.
The redevelopment agency may of its own motion, or at the direction of the legislative
            body, select one or more project areas comprising all or a portion of a redevelopment
            area, and formulate a redevelopment plan for each project area. Redevelopment plans
            may be prepared by the planning commission in the event the members of the agency
            have not been appointed or at the request of the agency.
