§ 45-21.2-22.1. Burrillville police — Optional twenty-year retirement on service allowance.
(a) Notwithstanding §â€‰ 45-21.2-22, the town council of the town of Burrillville, may by ordinance adopted, permit the retirement of a member on a service retirement allowance for members eligible to retire on or before June 30, 2012, as follows:
(1) Any member may retire pursuant to this section upon his or her written application to the board stating at what time he or she desires to retire; provided, that the member, at the specified time of his or her retirement, has completed at least twenty
