§ 28-7-47. Severability.
If any clause, sentence, paragraph, or part of this chapter or its application to any person or circumstances is, for any reason, adjudged by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, that judgment shall not affect, impair, or invalidate the remainder of this chapter and the application of this chapter to other persons or circumstances, but shall be confined in its operation to the clause, sentence, paragraph, or part thereof directly involved in the controversy in which the judgment has been rendered and to the person or circumstances involved.
