§ 28-31-14. Effect of federal benefits to disaster response workers.

Any sums payable under any act of Congress or other federal program as compensation for death, disability, or injury of disaster response workers shall be considered in connection with the determination and settlement of any claim brought under the provisions of §§ 28-31-12 and 28-31-13. When the payments received from the United States are less than an injured member would have been entitled to receive under §§ 28-31-12 — 28-31-14, then the worker shall be entitled to receive all the benefits to which he or she would have been entitled under those sections less the benefits actually received
