§ 28-29-18. Minors deemed sui juris — Claim of common law rights.

A minor working at an age legally permitted under the laws of this state shall be deemed sui juris for the purpose of chapters 29 — 38 of this title and no other person shall have any cause of action or right to compensation for an injury to that minor employee except as expressly provided in those chapters; but if that minor has a parent living or a guardian, that parent or guardian, as the case may be, may give the notice and file a copy of it as provided by § 28-29-17, and that notice shall bind the minor in the same manner that adult employees are bound under the provisions of cha
