§ 28-12-16. Discrimination against employees invoking provisions.
Any employer who or that discharges or in any other manner discriminates against any employee because the employee has made any complaint to his or her employer, to the director of labor and training, or to his or her authorized representative because:
(1)He or she has not been paid wages in accordance with the provisions of this chapter;
(2)The employee has caused to be instituted or is about to cause to be instituted
any proceeding under or related to this chapter;
(3)The employee has testified or
is about to testify in any such proceeding; or (4) The employee has served, or is
