§ 28-10-6. "Personâ€� defined.

Whenever used in §§ 28-10-7 and 28-10-8, the word "personâ€� means any individual, firm, association, corporation, or law enforcement agency; provided, that the word does not include any member of a city or town police department, any member of the division of state police, deputy sheriff, or any member of the militia of this state while acting in the course of duty and under the direction and order of any superior officer.
