§ 27-5-3.6. Notice concerning flood insurance.

Upon issuance and each renewal of insurance policies covering standard fire insurance as defined in §§ 27-5-3 and 27-5-9.1, insurers shall provide written notice advising the policyholder that the insurance policy may not cover damages resulting from the flood, that flood insurance may be available through the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) National Flood Insurance Program, and to contact their insurer or producer for assistance. The notice shall be clear and conspicuous to the policyholder.
