§ 27-42-1. Purpose.

The purpose of this chapter is to give this state "jurisdiction to determine jurisdiction� of providers of healthcare benefits; to indicate how each provider of healthcare benefits may show under what jurisdiction it falls; to allow for examinations by this state if the provider of healthcare benefits is unable to show it is subject to another jurisdiction; to make a provider of healthcare benefits subject to the laws of this state if it cannot show that it is subject to another jurisdiction; and to disclose to purchasers of healthcare benefits whether or not the plans are fully insured.
