§ 27-20-4. Approval of articles of association.

No articles of association of a nonprofit medical service corporation shall be filed in the office of the secretary of state unless and until the governor shall have certified in writing upon those articles that he or she has determined that public convenience and advantage will be promoted by the establishment of the corporation and that the filing of the articles has the approval of the Rhode Island Medical Society as evidenced by an affidavit of the president and secretary of the society.
