§ 27-20-13. Adoption of chapter by hospital service corporation.
Any nonprofit hospital service corporation organized pursuant to the provisions of
            chapter 19 of this title may, with the consent of the Rhode Island Medical Society
            evidenced by the affidavit of the president and secretary of the society filed in
            the office of the secretary of state, amend its articles of association to adopt the
            provisions of this chapter, and, upon that adoption, the corporation shall have and
            exercise all of the powers and be subject to all of the duties and responsibilities
            of a nonprofit medical service corporation to the same extent as though it had been
