§ 27-2.4-1. Purpose and scope.

(a) This chapter governs the qualifications and procedures for the licensing of insurance producers. It simplifies and organizes some statutory language to improve efficiency, permits the use of new technology, and reduces costs associated with issuing and renewing insurance licenses. This chapter does not apply to excess and surplus lines agents and brokers licensed pursuant to § 27-3-38 except as provided in §§ 27-2.4-10 and 27-2.4-17.
