§ 27-2-14. Forwarding of process by commissioner.

(a) Whenever lawful process against a foreign insurance company shall be served upon the insurance commissioner, the commissioner shall forward a copy of the process served on the commissioner, to the person appointed by the insurance company to accept service of process on behalf of the company. The manner of forwarding shall be at the discretion of the insurance commissioner.

(b) Service upon the insurance commissioner shall be accomplished by regular mail or by whatever alternative method is designated by the commissioner.
