§ 27-2-1. Compliance by foreign insurance companies required.
No insurance company, unless incorporated by the general assembly, shall make any
            insurance on property within this state or contract for insurance with any party resident
            in this state until the insurance company shall have complied with the provisions
            of this chapter.
