§ 27-19-18. Coverage for adoptive children.
Subscribers to any nonprofit hospital service plan who have satisfied the continuous
            membership requirements of the plan, and who adopt children under the guardianship
            and custody of the director of the department of children, youth and families, shall
            be afforded coverage under the plan for any adopted child without any waiting period,
            notwithstanding the fact that the adopted child may have any preexisting medical condition.
