§ 27-17-20. Applicability of insurance producers' laws.
The provisions of the general insurance laws of this state regarding the appointment,
            licensing, qualification, and regulation of insurance producers shall not apply to
            an exchange or its attorney, or to a traveling salaried employee, or to an executive
            officer or the attorney if a corporation, but shall apply to any other person, partnership,
            or corporation representing the reciprocal or interinsurance exchange in soliciting,
            negotiating, or effecting of business in this state.
