§ 27-17-17. Permits to solicit powers of attorney and applications.

For the purposes of complying with the requirements of this chapter as set forth in § 27-17-4(6) and upon issuance of a permit by the commissioner and under any conditions as the commissioner may impose, powers of attorney and applications for the insurance contracts may be solicited without compliance with the provisions of this chapter, but no attorney or other person shall execute or issue the contracts of insurance until all of the provisions of this chapter have been complied with and a certificate of authority issued by the commissioner.
