§ 27-10-1. Purpose and scope.

This chapter governs the qualifications and procedures for the licensing of:

(1)Public adjusters;
(2)Company adjusters; and (3) Independent adjusters. It specifies the duties of, and restrictions on, public, company, and independent adjusters. The restrictions on public adjusters include limiting their licensure to assisting insureds in first-party claims.
