Text

When a prisoner sentenced to imprisonment at hard labor under section5147.17of the Revised Code, becomes sick or incapacitated for work, or the board of county commissioners finds it impracticable to employ him, the prisoner shall be taken forthwith before the court or magistrate which imposed the sentence and he shall be resentenced to confinement in the jail or a workhouse for the unexpired portion of his sentence. If such prisoner becomes able to labor before completing his sentence, or if the board finds it practicable to employ him, he shall be liable to work, as provided in section5147.18of the Revised Code.
