Text
(A)No for-hire motor carrier may operate in intrastate commerce unless the carrier has a current and valid certificate of public convenience and necessity.
(B)The public utilities commission shall issue a certificate of public convenience and necessity to any person who does all of the following:
(1)Files with the commission, in accordance with rules adopted under section4921.05of the Revised Code, a complete and accurate application that shall include a certification that (a) the person understands and is in compliance with the applicable service, operation, and safety laws of this state and (b) the person meets the requirements of section4921.09of the Revised Code;
(2)Agrees to maintain accurate and current business and insurance information with the commission, in acco
