Text
(A)As used in this section, "intimate examination" means a pelvic, prostate, or rectal examination.
(B)Except as provided in division (C) of this section, a physician assistant or student enrolled in a program or course of study described in division (B) of section4730.11of the Revised Code shall not perform, or authorize another individual to perform, an intimate examination on an anesthetized or unconscious patient.
(C)Division (B) of this section does not apply in any of the following circumstances:
(1)The performance of an intimate examination is within the scope of care for the surgical procedure or diagnostic examination to be performed on the patient.
