Text
(A)A person executing a cremation authorization form as the authorizing agent under section4717.24of the Revised Code shall use diligent efforts to determine whether a pacemaker, cardiac defibrillator, or any other mechanical or radioactive device or implant is present in the decedent's body that poses a hazard to the health or safety of the personnel of the crematory or to the cremation chamber during the cremation process and shall indicate the presence of the device or implant on the cremation authorization form. If the decedent is to be delivered to the crematory facility by a funeral director, the person executing the authorization form shall inform the funeral director of the presence of the device or implant.
