(A)The board of embalmers and funeral directors shall issue an embalmer's or funeral director's license in accordance with Chapter 4796. of the Revised Code to an applicant who holds a license in another state or who has satisfactory work experience, a government certification, or a private certification as described in that chapter as an embalmer or funeral director in a state that does not issue that license. Such licenses shall be renewed biennially as provided in section4717.08of the Revised Code.
(B)(1) The board of embalmers and funeral directors may issue courtesy card permits to nonresident funeral directors licensed in a state that borders this state. A courtesy card permit holder shall be authorized to undertake both the following acts in this state:
