Text
(A)A dental hygienist providing dental hygiene services under a permit issued under section4715.363of the Revised Code to practice under the oral health access supervision of a dentist shall do both of the following:
(1)Comply with written protocols established by the authorizing dentist who authorizes the dental hygienist's provision of services and standing orders established by the authorizing dentist, including protocols and standing orders regarding emergencies and, for the purpose of section4715.365of the Revised Code, protocols regarding what constitutes a medically significant change to a patient's medical or dental history;
(2)Immediately following the completion of the dental hygiene services and subject to division (B) of this section, direct the patient to a dentist for a
