(A)Each person who desires to practice as a dental hygienist shall file with the secretary of the state dental board a written application for a license, under oath, upon the form prescribed. Such applicant shall furnish satisfactory proof of being at least eighteen years of age. An applicant shall present a diploma or certificate of graduation from an accredited dental hygiene school and shall pay the examination fee of one hundred twenty dollars if the license is issued in an odd-numbered year or one hundred eighty-four dollars if issued in an even-numbered year, except that beginning January 1, 2025, the fee shall be one hundred eighty-four dollars regardless of the year in which the license is issued.
