Text
The legislative authority of the municipal corporation, or the board or boards of county commissioners, or the university branch district board of trustees when appointed by the legislative authority of the municipal corporation or board or boards of county commissioners shall be the managing authority of the university branch district. Such authority shall annually select by majority vote during the first week in January one of its members to be chairman and another to be vice-chairman. The chairman and vice-chairman shall serve for a term of one year or until their successors are selected and qualified. Should either the office of chairman or vice-chairman become vacant due to death, resignation, or incapacity, the remaining members of such managing authority shall select a successor.
