Text

Subject to the regulations adopted by the department of education and workforce, the state school for the deaf shall be open to receive persons who are deaf, hard of hearing, and deafblind residents of this state, who, in the judgment of the director of education and workforce and the superintendent of Ohio deaf and blind education services, due to such disability, cannot be educated in the public school system and are suitable persons to receive instructions according to the methods employed in such school.
