Text

The chief of the division of parks and watercraft shall adopt such rules as the chief considers necessary to ensure uniform and orderly operation of this chapter, and the clerks of the courts of common pleas shall conform to those rules. The chief shall receive and file in the chief's office all information forwarded to the chief by the clerks under this chapter and shall maintain indexes covering the state at large for that information. These indexes shall be for the state at large and not for individual counties. The chief shall check with the chief's record all duplicate certificates of title received in the chief's office from the clerks. If it appears that any certificate of title has been improperly issued or is no longer required, the chief shall cancel the certificate. Upon the c
