§ 17-1704 Succession of powers and duties. In every such village, all\nthe powers and duties imposed by law upon the town board of the town or\nupon any officer of the town or commissioners or boards of any district\nin relation to any water district, or any lamp or street lighting\ndistrict, or any sewer district, or any fire district, created or\norganized under the provisions of the town law, shall devolve and are\nhereby imposed upon the board of trustees of such village, and all\ncontracts in relation to such districts or any improvements therein\nshall be performed and completed by the said board of trustees.\n
