Section 1--305. Remedies to be Liberally Administered.\n (a) The remedies provided by this act must be liberally administered\nto the end that the aggrieved party may be put in as good a position as\nif the other party had fully performed but neither consequential or\nspecial damages nor penal damages may be had except as specifically\nprovided in this act or by other rule of law.\n (b) Any right or obligation declared by this act is enforceable by\naction unless the provision declaring it specifies a different and\nlimited effect.\n
