§ 143. Vehicle identification. It shall be unlawful for any motor\ncarrier holding a certificate or permit from the commissioner to operate\nany motor vehicle upon the highways of this state unless there is firmly\naffixed to such motor vehicle proper identification in accordance with\nthe rules and regulations promulgated by the commissioner.\n
