§ 213. Membership in retirement system or service credit not allowed\nfor employment under this article.

a.The provisions of any local law\nor charter notwithstanding, no retired person employed in public service\npursuant to the provisions of this article shall be required or\npermitted to become a member of any retirement system or pension plan\nadministered by the state or any of its political subdivisions.\n b. Member service credit may not be purchased or granted in any\nretirement system or pension plan administered by the state or any of\nits political subdivisions for any period of employment in public\nservice authorized under the provisions of this article.\n
