§ 214-b. Pension rights of certain retired persons who are appointed\nto the office of New York city marshal. a. Notwithstanding the\nprovisions of this chapter or the provisions of any state or local law\nor charter to the contrary, no retired person who retired from (1) the\nNew York city police pension fund, (2) the New York city employees'\nretirement system as (A) a member of the uniformed force of the New York\ncity department of correction, or (B) an employee of the city of New\nYork in the title of deputy city sheriff level one, deputy city sheriff\nlevel two, supervising deputy sheriff or administrative sheriff, or (3)\nthe New York city fire department pension fund in a title in the fire\nmarshal occupational group, and who is appointed to the office of New\nYork city marshal, shall have his or her retirement allowance suspended\nor reduced on or after the effective date of this section because of\ncompensation earned by such retired person from service as a New York\ncity marshal.\n b. Notwithstanding the provisions of subdivision f of section two\nhundred ten of this article or the provisions of any other law to the\ncontrary, service in the office of New York city marshal by any retired\nperson shall not be considered employment in a position in the service\nof a former employer for the purposes of section two hundred eleven of\nthis article.\n
