§ 444-C — Code of ethics and standards of practice

§ 444-c. Code of ethics and standards of practice. 1. The secretary\nshall promulgate regulations to implement the provisions of this article\nincluding but not limited to:\n (a) standards for training including approval of the course of study\nand examination required for licensure of home inspectors;\n (b) requirements and standards for continuing education of home\ninspectors;\n (c) a code of ethics and standards of practice for licensed home\ninspectors consistent with the provisions of this article and sound\nethical practices which code and standards shall be subject to public\nnotice and comment prior to adoption of the regulations. The standards\nof practice shall not require a reporting format or limit information\nwhich licensees are authorized to provide a client pursuant to this\narticle; and\n (d) development of information and educational materials about home\ninspection for distribution to clients.\n 2. Nothing in this section shall be deemed to supersede any\nestablished authority, duty and power established by local law, state\nlaw or regulation or otherwise granted to any agency, body or entity.\n
