§ 964. Payment of proceeds into court in cases involving decedent's\nproperty. Where the property has been sold free from the lien of debts,\na final judgment, entered before eighteen months have elapsed from the\ngranting of letters of administration or letters testamentary upon the\nestate of a decedent from whom the plaintiff derived his title, shall\ndirect that the proceeds of the sale remaining after the payment of the\ncosts, referee's fees, expenses of sale, and liens established before\nthe death of the decedent, including any sum allowed to a widow in\nsatisfaction of her right of dower, therein directed to be paid, be paid\nforthwith into court by the referee making such sale.\n A final judgment in such case, entered before eighteen months have\nelapsed from the granting of
