§ 1102. Definitions. For the purposes of this article, the following\nterms shall have the following meanings:\n a. "Compact committee" means the organization of officials from the\nparty states that is authorized and empowered by this compact to carry\nout the purposes of this compact;\n b. "Official" means the duly selected member of a party state racing\ncommission, or its equivalent, who represents that party state as a\nmember of the compact committee;\n c. "Participants in live racing" means participants in live horse\nracing with pari-mutuel wagering in the party states;\n d. "Party state" means each state that has enacted this compact; and\n e.
